Electro Air Charcoal Filters

Electro Air Electronic Air Cleaners are the most effective filter systems available for your home. Using one will also ensure your heating & cooling system stays cleaner and operates at maximum efficiency. Electro Air Electronic Air Cleaners filter up to 98% of bacteria, pollen, dust, animal dander, viruses, and cooking and tobacco smoke. Comparably, Media Air Cleaners are only 55% efficient and standard air filters are only 2% to 5% efficient at filtering larger particles such as pollen and spores. Our newly expanded line of Electronic Air Cleaners includes models to fit virtually any size home. All models are designed for energy efficiency and have easy access for service and maintenance. Model names consist of UST Universal Slim Twin, SST Slim Twin, SS Super Slim, SRP Super Remote and WW or Water Wash models. Cleaner Air. Greater Efficiency. Electronic air cleaners offer the optimum balance between air filtration and system pressure drop (air restriction). As other types of filters become “loaded” with dirt, they can become more effective; however they also begin to restrict more of the air flowing through the system. This can cause the heating and cooling system to work harder and run longer…costing you extra money! Electronic air cleaners are different. They employ an effective open collecting cell design that maintains low air restriction even as the cells become loaded. Electronic Air Cleaners The air in your home circulates through your heating or cooling system, carrying millions of airborne particles with it. When this air is filtered through the Electro Air Electronic Air Cleaner, a pre-filter traps the majority of large particles. Smaller particles pass through the pre-filter and receive an electrical charge. Collector plates attract these particles and hold them until the cells are cleaned.

The most common indoor pollutants include oil, gas, kerosene, wood, and tobacco products. Certain types of insulation, household cleaning solutions, and many personal care products can also have adverse effects on your family’s health. Most households employ at least one pesticide annually to confront insect, rodent, or fungus infestations. Exposure to these pesticides can have a variety of ill effects, both short and long term, on human health. Exposure to dust mites, cat saliva, animal dander, and mold can pose a serious health hazard to people with asthma, sometimes resulting in emergency medical care. It’s estimated that as much as half of all illnesses are either caused or aggravated by polluted indoor air.
